You can recycle jeans by adding a pre-paid recycling bag to your order at checkout on NYDJ.com and following the steps to send it back to us with the jeans you’d like to recycle. At this time we can only accept jeans for recycling via NYDJ.com and cannot accept them at any store location.

The jeans that you recycle will be sent to RE&UP, which separates blended textile waste into decolorized Next-Gen cotton fibers ready for spinning with 100% traceability as well as polyester chips ready for filament yarn manufacturing. These fibers are then used by ISKO to create stretch denim, which NYDJ uses to create jeans for our Re-New™ Denim collection.
Yes, our Re-New™ Denim collection is created with ISKO Reform™ technology and recycled denim from RE&UP. Many of our other jeans are also made with recycled cotton, and we use a sustainable polyester fiber created from 100% post-consumer plastic waste in most of our blouses.
Yes, we use cotton in most of our jeans and stretch twill styles. We also offer many stretch linen styles made with more than 50% linen.
Yes, most of our jeans are made with recycled cotton or cotton from the Better Cotton Initiative, the world’s leading sustainability initiative for cotton. We also use recycled polyester and sustainable polyester made from recycled plastic.
Yes, we work with LEED-certified production facilities, and the majority of our jeans are made with earth-friendly methods that result in reduced consumption of water, chemicals and/or energy.
