Reviews

Love love love

"I got two pair of these jeans and I really like them. They are high waisted and I love the feel that they give me. They come in great colors also. I love how I can wear them so many places, depending on where I'm going, dress them up or just wear up sweatshirt. The fit is wonderful!"

— Barbara W. (5/5)

Nice Rinse Color

"These are really quite nice and a good change from the wider jeans I’d been wearing. I like the fabric and the length. The fit is comfortable although I would have liked a little higher rise."

— Nancy H. (5/5)

Perfect

"The Marilyn style works well for me. I like the cut and the style. I also love this faded blue color. I have one pair but wanted another. NYDJ are the only jeans I buy anymore. I have never had a problem with them fitting well."

— Catherine S. (5/5)

NICE GIFT

"I'VE ALWAYS LOVED THE JEANS AND I BOUGHT THESE FOR MY DAUGHTER. I HOPE SHE LIKES THEM. I WOULD BUY MORE MYSELF BUT I AM A PETITE AND NEED A 25" INSEAM WHICH YOU CARRY SO LITTLE OF."

— Shirley B. (5/5)

dye

"love the fit .. but they have been washed two or three times and the dye is still coming off on my hands ... When your hands are blue some overly protective husbands insist on the ER ... where you are diagnosed with Nugene Syndrome (new jean syndrome)."

— Cornelia P. (4/5)

Great fit, even for tall ladies

"I recently lost weight and had to replace some jeans. I love how NYDJ jeans fit my new shape. I am quite tall and they actually fit! I had my old pairs for more than 8 years and would still be wearing them if not for the weight loss. Keep up the great work making us ladies look great."

— Karen S. (5/5)

Good Looking and Fits Just Right!

"Excellent fit, leg length needed a slight fix adjust but the jeans fit my waist, hips looked fabulous. Also the style went with my boots and sandals, either or. I think the Marilyn jeans might just be my favorite pair even if they needed a tad of adjusting!"

— Margaret M. (5/5)

Love love love me some

"Love love love me some NYDJ…..I am a tall lady and appreciate not only the length but the superb fit. Thank u for always getting it right for all,of us!"

— Donna B. (5/5)

Love this rinse!

"These are great too. This is the second or third review I’ve done, so I’ll tell you about the rinse on this. I wasn’t sure I’d like it but these have become my favorite rinse. No idea why, but I’ve worn these most all summer. I’d love to know what it is, but the fit is great and they go well with most everything. I grab this pair first!!"

— Lisa C. (5/5)

Perfect fit

"At 63 I have a tough time finding a pair of jeans that fit well and are comfortable. The Marilyn Straight Jeans never disappoint. Perfect fit, look great in all colors every time"

— Rosanne R. (5/5)

Q&A

The Marilyn Straight has a slightly higher rise and a clean straight leg that elongates the silhouette. It's cut true to size for most customers, with our signature Lift Tuck® Technology panel built into the waistband and seat to smooth and support without changing the fit through the leg. If you're between sizes, size down for a more fitted look through the hip or size up for extra ease.

Lift Tuck® is NYDJ's proprietary inner construction — a hidden shaping panel sewn into the waistband and seat that lifts, tucks, and smooths the tummy and rear without the bulk of external shapewear. It's built into the jean itself, so there's nothing extra to wear underneath.

Check the size chart on this page for the exact waist/hip measurements for this style. As a general guide: size down for a closer, more tailored fit.

The Missy/Regular Marilyn is cut for average height (typically 5'4"–5'8"). If you need a shorter or longer inseam, see our Marilyn Petite or Marilyn Tall collections, which use the same silhouette re-graded for different heights.

Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors. Avoid high heat in the dryer — tumble low or hang dry — since excess heat breaks down the elastane fibers and reduces stretch recovery over time. Skip fabric softener, which coats the fibers and dulls stretch performance.

Yes. The Marilyn Straight is produced using earth-friendly methods that reduce consumption of water, chemicals, and energy compared to conventional denim processing.
