Hit Just the Right Notes
"This crepe-y silk Riley blouse was the perfect top with a pair of NYDJ beige linen Bermudas. I was going for a put together look that was casual but appropriate in a variety of settings. I live in Florida. It also had to be lightweight for a typical August day. Add to that a color that would "pop. " The red violet was a fine choice. I think it is a flattering color for most. I generally find that Large is the best size choice for me in most tops, and that proved true here as well. It fit as expected. Order your regular size. The elbow length sleeves is a much appreciated design choice. Those few inches of added arm coverage can be the difference between feeling a little too conscious of. . . well. . . time passing and being stylishly cool. The extra length also proved to be enough to ward off the worst of a full blast air conditioning system. My only reservations are the texture of this silk not being the shiny slippery feel you normally associate with the fabric and the fact that packaging meant this arrived with distinct fold lines. Laundering did not eliminate them completely. It took an iron set on low and a handy clean tea towel for extra coverage so I could bear down and really work those lines out. Overall, I would say that this was a great purchase decision and one I might repeat if the Riley is offered in a greater variety of colors in the future."

"The blouse has a pretty silhouette but the silk is not very soft. I am a cotton girl but wanted something more dressy and thought silk would meet my needs . Not so much…silk felt more like a poly blend. Pretty color too !"
